Frequently Asked Questions
How do I enable or disable the TalentIQ card in Bullhorn?
If your Bullhorn administrator has already configured the card with your Bullhorn, you can add or remove TalentIQ from the Cards dropdown when viewing a candidate record. Once added, the card will appear on all candidate overview pages matching the positioning you place it into.
Why does the card take a while to load on some candidates?
The first time a candidate is viewed, TalentIQ needs to fetch their notes, texts, submissions, and placements from Bullhorn, which can take a few extra seconds depending on the volume of activity. Once a candidate has been viewed, the card should load quickly on subsequent visits and refresh any new activity in the background. The amount of historical activity TalentIQ pulls ranges from 1 to 10 years depending on your company's configuration.
What is Ask Toro and how do I use it?
Ask Toro is an AI chat feature built into TalentIQ. Hover over the Toro logo in the top right corner of the card to see suggested questions, or type your own. Responses are based only on that candidate's activity data. You can also trigger it by typing a question into the search bar — if no search results are found, you'll be prompted to "Ask Toro Instead."
What do the different bubble colors and positions mean?
Blue bubbles on the right are outbound communications, gray bubbles on the left are inbound, and white bubbles centered in the middle represent status changes like submissions or placements. Each bubble includes the note type, date, and time.
Can I see activity older than initially displayed?
Yes. Between the search bar and the communications interface there's a "Load prior year" button. Clicking it will scan and load the previous year's notes into the timeline and interface. Note that additional years of content are not used in Ask Toro or Candidate Insight generation.
Bullhorn feels slow or my browser is using a lot of memory since enabling TalentIQ. What should I do?
Try closing the TalentIQ card (or unchecking it in the cards list) and see if the issue persists. When the card is disabled, none of TalentIQ's code runs in the background — so if slowness continues, the cause is likely another extension, browser configuration, or system issue. If disabling TalentIQ resolves it, open a support ticket with details about what you're experiencing so we can investigate.
